Philadelphians talk inside and outside of Lot 49 Books
The reading itself was in an unfinished basement below the store! Bad lighting for photos but a great atmosphere in the moment. We felt pretty punk. The first time Kristen and Oscar read from their real books! And they were both amazing.
Two people who can’t believe they’re holding the physical manifestation of the word document that’s been taunting them for years.
Upstairs after the reading, we found a rare copy of the alt-lit anthology, 40 Likely To Die Before 40. We laughed so much and checked what writing of ours had been included. Why did we agree to this? (Photo is blurry because of laughter)
